Nano RC skimmer from parts
Set up to see if it would skim and it does. It's a little rough looking but it works.
Parts: Baby bottle 1/2 CPVC Maxijet 400 to circulate 320LPH pump as intake plastic container for cup bottom piece of maxijet for up-spout ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This is about 12 hours of skimming with a little coral vibrance in the water to see if it would pull it out.

She's not going to win any beauty padgents that for sure. Now that I know it will work I'm going to try and do another and take my time and do it better and find the right parts instead of using things I had around the house.

You could try painting the whole thing (besides maybe to collection cup) with Krylon Fusion to make it a little less offensive on the eyes.
Kudos on coming up with a working design...perhaps take step-by-step pictures of the new one you're building as you do it so it's easier to get an idea of how it works and how to replicate it.
