125 stand ready for finish pic


the stand is done this is the last stand pic until i start to stain and urethane

the next pics will be soon starting on the canopy this week so let me know what you think of the stand

That fish will get way to big for your tank.. I would return it they can reach up to 2ft plus.... Anyway nice work on the stand. You will also need to upgrade your lighting to keep corals you might get away with some softies with what you have now though.

is it a good idea to run live rock ruble in my sump never had a sump before so this is new to me

yes i run the frame on the engeneering program and the fron can handle 2000 lbs before bowing the frame if reinforce with 2 by 4s thanks for the coment

started canopy just running pcs so i made it 8 inches tall with 2 lids

well the canopy is more of a chalange than the stand after 2 trys i got the back done so will do more as soon as the glue dries on the back

canopy

worked on the canopy again today well found out if you dont dampen the wook and you use gorilla glue it dont stick had to re do all the joints thing are back in the clamps not the set back i wanted set-up date is in 4 weeks starting to cycle my water and sand in 2 55 gallon plastic barrels i put the sand in some live rock and a power head this has been working good for us we do this for 4 weeks then straight into the tank the rest of the live rock and water is coming from my 46 that i will be moving to a new location any ideas or tips let me know got a phos reactor my freinds swear it helps with the alge any thoughts

well finaly the canopy is assymbled i will fit it on the tank tomorrow evening to see how it fits then put on some trim and the lids if all goes well with the test fit pics this weekend

well just got home from the fish store the test fit went superb so will be adding the trim and lids this week so pics this weekend hope to start staining

superb huh? thats a might high horse you sit on my friend... cant wait to see the pics. the stand looks good. its pretty simple. im trying to do the same thing for my 75g tank stand but ive never wrapped anything in expensive wood before so??? im just putting it off. i dont think i want to spend all the money is why? ive had the tank and all the equipment for like over 2 years now. just cant seem to get the ball rolling?

moon light kit

just arrived my diy moonlight kit 5 wide angle blue led bulbs dimmer control and box the wire transformer and plug resistors and heat sink im mounting them in 3/8 inch plastic the length of the tank nice kit and cheap 28 bucks delivered to the door

i finished the canopy today doors trim and hardware test fit the lights looks good sorry no pics today got to go to work in a few hours need some sleep i promise pics tomorrow this week i hope to get it stained and start assy on the moon light thanks for the patients taking longer than i thought

the canopy is about 8 inches tall and i will be using fruitwood by minwax that matches the other furniture

i stained the body of the canopy without the doors the fruitwood stain looks just like i wanted kind of rustic pic tomorrow morning of the stain
