nope, they are put together with rivets. The one center piece and four sides are all one piece. The 4 corners are separate and are what is needed to be riveted in place.

You can pick up rivets from any hardware store and there is a manual gun that you squeeze to activate the rivets!!! Nothing magical about it.

I would say that if you can easily bend it with your hands that it is too thin. .02 seems a little thin to me.

The issue is that I don't have it. That was the listed thickness on an online site that sells 98% reflective aluminum. But I don't know what .02" is in relative thickness for aluminum. I was hoping someone on here who has made their own reflectors could tell me.

aluminum specs

to all concerned

I made the 60" version that enderg60 mentioned earlier in the thread. I don't have pictures as of now but will try to get some soon as I need to remove it from the canopy to finish the built in exhaust the .020 thickness works fine due to the multible bends in the design

go to this website: http://www.anomet.com/reflective_products.html, and check out the anolux miro-silver.

I sent them an email comfirming that they would a) ship to the US, b) sell to non-business customers. I haven't received a response yet, but I sent it very recently (um, 10 mins ago ). I'll let you know when I get a response back. HTH

I called them awhile back and they will ship single pieces but the shipping cost is huge($84+)

They also sell some damaged stuff for half the price of the new stuff and it is suppose to only have slightly bent edges and minor scratches which should not be a problem if we're cutting most of the edges anyway.
