Any ETSS beckett conversion success stories?

I'm thinking of converting my ETSS 800 to a beckett system. I did a search on Reef Central which revealed how to do the conversion. But there were no wonderful stories of how the conversion turned out.

I seem to remember that several people had tried the conversion, and then switched back.

Any success or failure stories would be appreciated.

I have and it was very successsful. I did the mod on my Reef Devil skimmer and it skimmed like a champ. The only downside is that you need a strong pressure rated pump to power it. The upside is that your skimmer will be supercharged. Its an excellent mod if done right, and i would do it again in a heartbeat.

Did the Beckett to my RDIII, had to upgrade the pump to a mag 12 to make it work, then went back to the old nozzle (with the Mag 12) with a controlled air intake, works much better. Key is to overdrive the skimmer, give it very little air, gate valve is off the unit--extremely small bubbles and MUCH better performance. Easier to "tune" than the Beckett mod.
