puffy and boxfish

Is it true box fishes really get along with puffers because they have similar eyes? and whats the deal with the toxin box fish release when they die? any experience with either of these situations?

I haven't had the puffer with box fish combo, but I did recently have a cowfish with box fish combo. They never bothered each other at all.

I recently lost the cowfish after keeping him for close to a year. I think it was being bothered by one of my Flame Angels, but then I think it stopped. Then it didn't come out for a few days recently and my suspicions were confirmed when I saw the Cowfishes remains. I didn't lose any other fish, so I can say speaking from experience that the 'toxin release wiping out the entire tank' thing didn't happen.

HTH.
