filtration questions
I have 2 ac 150s for filtration. One of them i run foam and carbon and the other just chemipure. I just added a protein skimmer today. Should I remove the aquaclears? Maybe just the one with foam and carbon? I heard that the foam can cause nitrate to rise, but i clean it weekly.

woogy, most reefkeepers use live rock as their principle form of biological filtration. I recommend at least 1lb/gallon of live rock for this purpose. Also, I recommend at least 20x turnover in the tank for flow. That would be a minimum of 580gph for your 29g tank. Right now you have 460gph with the Aquaclear filters and your Maxi Jet. I would bump the flow up a bit, imo.
Do you have any live rock in the tank?
