How big should my hospital tank be??
After battling ich with my tangs for a while I want to get all the fish out of the display for six weeks but need to know how big it should be. I have a purple tang 3-4", Powder brown 3", 8 chromis, 1 false perc, 1 damsel and a spotted goby. The display tank is a 125.

I was just about to post the same topic here. I have the same problem, same size tank, as well as tangs, a clown, and chromis. I have a 55 not being used, maybe access to a friends old 90 if I beg him. Anyone with a suggestion? Thanks

i am currently using a 55 for my qt well one of them anyways and i have a 3 in blue tang and a 2.5 icnh purple tang and a pair of maroon clowns make sure you have lots of places for them to hide is key i find my tang are alittle aggressive towards the clowns but when i added more pvc they got less aggressive for sure. i think they will eb fidn in there for 6 weeks. but i would get yourself a 20 gal or somehtign for all those chromis and id even throw that damsel in there too. and then your 55 will be just fine for those tangs. i like tofeed twice a day to amke sure they are always eating and i like to put algae in everyday for the tangs. it will prolly atke 8 weeks by the tiem the ick actually goes away. key thing here is to always keep the salinity the same by adding top off daily or with a bigger qt like me and u bi-daily. also no substrate is best but i do ahve sand in one of my qts for my wrasse so i guess it depends on what u think your fish will feal more comfortable in.
