Nice pics Uyenk.

About the live sand you collected, if its dry its probably not very live anymore. You can still add it to the fuge though. I'd just get some more LS the day when your ready to add it since you have the opportunity to add all LS.

yes, i agree jer, i've been thinking to collect LS again, is not and easy task. i need to borrow pick up truck first, i already have a growt of rust "algae" all over my car . because i dont want the sand to dry, i will place it on an bucket full of water, and hope to preseve it LIVE status (is that possible with about 1-2 hours on transport???).

BTW how much sand i have to collect jer, to support my system here? oh.. since we have different measurement, i will ask how much gallons LS i have to collect?

That should work out fine. Just keep it wet and not to hot.

I think of trying this method too. I am 30mins from my coastline. I am from KL, Msia.

i only filter it with filter sponge, no more than that.
and im not test my water, just check if it have an oily surface, that mean bad water.
if you have test kit, use it, just to make sure..

oh, BTW where is pulau redang on msia? i heard from friend, theres the heaven of reef

Pulau Redang is north east of Penisular Malaysia. From KL, its 1 hour+ flight, then another 1 hour speed boat ride to the island. Near that island is Pulau Perhentian.

Redang has more soft corals, wheras Perhentian has mainly hard corals. Did my diving there couple of years ago.

Another island I favored is Tioman, located east coast too, but nearer to south. A lot of virgin reefs. Its heaven underwater...

You need to man up a bit, and put the smack down on her!! Sounds like she rules the roost, and you need to step up to the plate.

I am wondering where you came up with your design for your filtration setup.

i dont know..
i just see the LFS and the colector tank or pond, actually most of them use pond instead tank as a sump or fuge.

and i have plan to build large pond too, for raising water volume, and lowering the temperature.

i smell alot of bs too. coming from people posting on your thread.

i think i sense some jealousy. people have spent thousands of dollars on their reef and it has many more problems than yours. they are just praying for yours to crash.

your system looks great, im tagging along for the ride. good luck.
