will the salt water mess up furniture or tv

I was thinking about putting my tank about 6 feet away from my tv will the salt water have any bad effects on the tv or any other furiture in the room. There will be a canopy on the tank even though the back is open.

Only would be a problem if the tank overflowed or sprung a leak!

Salt does not evaporate so it really doesn't get in to the air. There is some salt creep but it should be well contained.

yes only the water evaporates, you'll have a higher moisture content next to the electronics so that may not be as good for them but i don't know of anything bad that could happen
