Question how do I figure out gal.

What formula do you use to figure out how many gallons in a tank?I just picked up an acrylic cube that is 24"deep,36"long and 34" tall.Only draw back is that its tinted so I will probably remove a panel and replace it with clear.Any thoughts or suggestions onm how to seperate the panel besides the obvious saw. Thanks in advance

24 x 36 x 34 = 29376 / 231 = 127 gallons

Sounds like a great find!!

The only option I am aware of is to cut off a side and glue on a new side.

well it wasn't made to be a tank,it was some sort of display case but when I saw it I thought that it would make a nice tank because of the dimensions(must be the addiction).Anyway I cut half of the top off tonight and it really is not as tinted as I thought it would be.This thing is welded together and the acrylic is 1/4 in. thick. It has 2 square boxes on the side which I can use one as an overflow. I could drill it near the bottom and put some pads in there and then feed it to the second one filter it again or use that for carbon then down to a sump and skim it and then return it to the "tank".Anyway i'll post pics as it progresses.I know my wife is happy because I have been looking at 100 gal tanks and this didn't make her to happy.lol
