japanese dragon eels....
they command big dollars. The prices tend to be a bit lower, but honestly, for a good healthy specimen its a fair

We've had one at work for about two years now. It is in a tank by itself and can be aggressive. It did not eat for the first few weeks we had it but now eats great. Goes off it's feed once in a while like most eels do.

I own both a Jap, and a Haw dragon eel. Have had the Haw. one for going on 3 years now and the Jap for a little over a year. Awesome eels. Stay hidden more than I would like but still neat.

I had 1 for several years. Just a Japanese variant of a dragon moray, just a s hardy, darker in color. I've also had 2 Hawaiian dragons in the past. Prefer the lighter colors of the Hawaiian variant.

I use to have the Hawaiian, Japanes, and the Brazilian dragons. I enjoyed my Hawaiian the most due to his doscile personality. The other two were pretty aggressive but were both beautiful. I would say that these are 3 of my favorites. I had 3 Brazilians in one tank and they were fine. but heres a few pics that I have of my Hawaiian and my Jap, unfortunately I lost the pics of my Brazilians. ENJOY!

Japanese I had for about 2yrs.

Hawaiian I had for a couple of years. It was the size of my wrist and was about 3+ft long.

My Jap dragon eel is very friendly with other fish, he is the least bit aggresive with larger fish . He hangs out all over the place in the tank and is about 20" long.
Very fun
I cant wait to get both my green Morays acclimated to the new tank !! They are both very aggresive!!

Nice pics, check my gallery for some pics of my Jap. I kept a queen angel a whitemouth moray and a blue tang with no problems. Smaller streamlined fish were picked off.

My boyfriend has kept his Hawaiian Dragon and Whitemouth together for more than 3 years. He's looking for another Dragon. Please, PM me with information, including price.

I would assume a tank full of Damsels and/or Chromis would be cool with a Jap DME.

Might even risk a Flame Angel....maybe...

His have been kept with everything from large Angles to Groupers, Triggers, Puffers, Lions...never had a fish loss to either Moray. Right now, they're both kept with a Giant Hawkfish.
