semi coldwater/deepwater reef
What are some fish that can thrive in about 73 degrees? I was thinking like ventralis anthias and hippocampus capensis. Any Suggestions?

I would look for fish that occur in southern and central baja. This means they have a wide range of temperatures they can tolerate.

First off,
Capensis nor Catalina Gobies would do good in temps of 73 degrees. I would say around 68 is fine. The Zebra Catalina Goby (according to Robert M. Fenner in "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist") can tolerate warm water. HTH

any fish can survive and do well in low 70's degree water. Just temp acclimate them and they will be fine.

Here's one I stumbled upon. Pricey for sure but you could be the envy of all your fellow reefers!

As for Hawaiian species, I would like to keep Crosshatch, bandit angels, flame wrasse, and any other deepwater wrasse/angel. The water gets quite cold in deepwater, but I am a skinny guy.

Any Hawaiian fish will be fine at 73 degrees. That's about the temperature of the water here in the wintertime.
