My Cube build

Ok i build the cube a few years ago for a Display tank for a indicator for BIG water tanks for construction.. it had a pump and a sump and the water filled and the incicator had a rod that came out of the top what was orange it was so the water truck did not over fill...


any ways I have sence moded the tank and now it a fish tank

i had to cut the top open and Add a over flow and cut the back hole in the tank biger




So i used a Router and clamed a stright edge for it and made the top hole square adn thee added the over flow and then cut the over flow hole

next phase

1 There is 5 holes in the tank and there not in the right spots darnit!!

Ok i can patch over them but that could look like sh!1

2 The holes are to close to the side to use a reamer drill
3 how do you put 1 1/4 hole acrylic in the same spot there is a hole and off set the hole so you can get a bulk head in ? hole saw need the center hole ..

There is two ways clamp a 2x4 to the edge and drill but the edge of the top is big so this make that hard

Or use a roto zip and go slow and go the right way if you go the rouge way it will make a bad cut and mess up the tank



So i off set the holes as far as i could and put bulkheads in


Next over flow pipe I cut the 90s down to make them tighter and use a Repair Coupling that side so i can a just the how high the pipe is



Next I am going to use every hole i hope

SO i make these side holes closed loop


I go throw the over flow and Seal them Up

Ok the two top holes are going to be returns from sump the right hole i am going to put a 90 on and put a tube down with a sreen of some type i have found a long sreen yet for the intake of the Closed loop

the Rock is going in that one my 150 reef only has 65lbs in it and my 40 gal prop tank i just put up ..

I just bought 500lbs on dry life rock Too now i have to reactiveate it .... if any one has done this help!!

I got my hose to day and my tee's mounted my used pump and sump

I have the closed loop ....looped to it self for now i want to get water run in next few days

MY Savko Plastics shipment should me in tomarow for my loc line and my unseals for the skimmer i going to be making
