It's a gamble. Plenty of people have no problems. Plenty of people have had to remove theirs. I have a pair of argi's. Just removed the female for tearing into pretty much all my SPS, and even a gorgonian. The male hasn't touched a thing.

I also had an argi with some lps and a couple clams didn't bother a thing, but he jumped last week

Just for reference, IMO/E it has nothing to do with how well fed the fish is. My little argi would start nipping corals again 10 minutes after being fed heavily (for my anthias).

I have an Eibl's Angel. It has been good for two years. It has recently taken to nipping the LPS quite badly, which in one, a favite, has coincided with tissue recession. Hard to tell if the angel is causing it or feeding off of the area receding.

I've heard a few stories that once angels start to peck at LPS they get a taste for it for life.

This particular angel is quite faddish and changes feeding behavior almost monthly!

I have 2 dwarf angels.
My Rusty is kept with zoanthids and softies.
My Flame is in my mixed reef with lps, sps, zoas, softies, clams, and anemones.
