Tangs not getting along
About 3 weeks ago I introduced a Powder Brown tang to family and the Purple tang who has been in the tank for 6 mos. was very angry for a day. Everything seemed okay until the Powder brown showed some wounds. They are appox. the same size the Purple is a tiny bit bigger by his fin. It seemed to be going away but tonight I saw the Purple go after the powder and caused a mark. the tank is 125 gal with plenty of places for them to hide. The powder eats and swims around the tank like nothing is wrong. Will this stop or will the Purple kill the Powder??

No telling really. If you can move rocks around that might help. Purples are natorious for being nasty to new additions. He can and might kill the powder brown.

I had the opposite happen...I tried to move my Yellow from my 125 to my 240 but the resident Whiteface [Powder Brown] went NUTS! I always expect the new fish to be bullied, but this fish was out for blood! He had the Yellow up in a corner. After a few minutes , I pulled the Yellow out.. He had a pretty bad gash on him..The bully had a few scratches himself. My Whiteface has never shown this side of him ..He gets along fine with the Hippo [added at the same time]
Purple Tangs are aggressive, Probably should have added them together or added the purple later. You could remove the Purple to a qt for a couple of weeks , let the Powder Brown get used to his new home

you can try to feed more often in smaller portions that way your purple may be more distracted with food than beating up the new comer... this has worked for me in the past.
