Out of curiosity, where did you get June from? This afternoon CNN said that they don't even have government approval yet.

June 07 is what Steve said during the keynote address.

He said they are introducing it today because they don't want the FCC introducing it when they go to file for the licenses. He said licenses will take a few months from now which adds up to June.

watch the keynote address it'll blow you away......

If it were just a phone, I could understand that argument.

Its also an iPod, a pocket PC, AND it supports widgets (google earth based GPS anybody?)

Y'know what I want? I want a phone that calls people and has a battery life.
I got one of those whiz-bang LGs with a camera and internet and way too many buttons---some of them you can access by putting it in a pocket, where it will happily turn on speaker without your wanting speaker; or go into mysterious 'modes' uninvited. Its battery life is about a day and a half. Its buttons, while pleasingly arranged for the eye, aren't easy to hit with any convenient finger without getting internet when you wanted a phone number---and there's so much info on the screen the print is too small to read in bright sunlight.
Give me back my old Motorola flip-phone that just rang up people lI want to talk to---and I'd GO back to it and toss this turkey of an LG if I could get batteries for it anymore. 500.00 for a phone with less battery life than I've got? No way.

My Treo 700P lasts like a week on battery. I only charge in once a week. But I don't talk all that much.

Gee, if the iPhone freezes up, refuses to be recognized by my computer and requires complete factory battery replacement like my #$&*^% iPod, I can't wait to NOT buy one.

Joey, buy one of the Apple refurbished Ipods. I bought one for under $100 (the 2 gig nano), and have never had any problems with it. If they are going to make them impossible to repair on a cost-efficient basis, the best alternative is to buy them as cheaply as possible.

The funny thing is they offer a warranty for $59 on an Ipod I paid $99 for. Yep, that would make sense.

I have thanks! Sorry that they are trying to run you down. Should have known there was a hitch to the 10 days off! So nice to see a friendly face again.

I have this phone as well, but only get a couple days given some of the power hungry software I have installed--Goodlink. Man, that sucks the battery down, as does accessing the internet.
