Over an inch? Thats a huge vermetid! I've got a few, but the largest is only about 1/4 inch diameter.

Don't you guys find those as a nuisance. Their slime can really stress their neighbors out. I always epoxy them over.

I havent noticed any adverse affects from the webs yet. They do a good job removing particulate matter from the water.

Yeah, I smush them. Most of mine have been fairly small ones, but they're like little needles when I'm working in the tank. Not to mention there were some gunking up my corals and making them unhappy.

Does anything eat these? I have them everywhere in the tank. Very small, but they are causing my red zoas to close up. I thought they were neat when I had one. Now I prefer them out.
Any ideas on the ideal predator?

I just read that perhaps a copperband butterfly might...Good or bad to include with various zoas, a few hairy shrooms, and a haddoni hosting two false percs. Other fish include small damsels and small yellow watchman. Oh yeah, and one serpent star.
What do you think? I really want to get rid of these things!

IME CBB's don't eat Vermitids and one might actually increase the number of Vermitids by attacking their competition (ie: featherduster worms, sandbed worms, Aiptasia, etc.).
