Was it like some giant pile they had their or was it just flat on the ground? Was it on the north side of the bridge or the south?

It's on the NW side of the Dames Pt. bridge, the Bahamian ships unload it there.

I got some from another member who also got it from there. I use it in my 10g and also in my fuge under the 55g. You will have to rinse it really well, but I like it personally.

I went up there to get some sand today but there was a 10 foot fence with barb wire around the top of it and the 2 gates were locked... How the heck did you guys get in to get the sand?

Best to try in the morning. Tell them you are getting it for a sand box. You will get so little that they will not charge you.

thanks mike, I went and got 4 buckets today and I really like the stuff. Doubt I would ever be able to get it free from there again, the people running it acted funny.

How about going to the intercoastal down by st augustine and snagging clusters of oyster from the oyster beds. might make for some interesting shapes?
