SLASH Coral Donor Program

In keeping with the idea that friends make this hobby, we would like to introduce our Coral Donor program. This is something that we have seen being done in other clubs and think it will be a great addition to our club. This program is for SLASH members only.

The idea of this program is to "share the wealth" so to speak by donating frags to others that would like to have them and have the correct conditions in order for them to thrive. The recipients of corals will, in turn, donate at least one frag when theirs grows enough to be propagated.

For the purpose of making things as simple as possible, we recommend that the coral donor create a thread based on the following.

We suggest that the thread title be "Donor: (coral name)".

General Information: Common name and scientific name if you know it. color, whether it is considered to be an sps, lps, or soft coral, approximate size and anything else you care to mention. Including a color photo of your frags would be a nice touch.

Requirements - lighting, tank placement, feeding requirements, acclimation info, etc. Feel free to include any additional information that could help the recipient.

Pickup/Delivery method: The donor should state the conditions of how they want to make the transfer.

Those members who would like a frag should post their name in the thread stating their wish.

We ask that only one thread per coral type be created to make searching easier and to eliminate duplicate threads. Any member with the same type of coral to donate should include their donor information in the same thread.

are there any donor threads yet?

since RC is so large and the threads would probably get lost in the massive traffic....not to mention that most of us can not search RC anyways....maybe we could post these on our own forum instead...

anyways....just a thought

anoher thought is to put a sticky thread with the name of the coral and a link to the thread. May keep them all organized better and keep double threads from popping up. Or you can use the slash forums lol.

I think that it should be on our forum on SLASHCLUB.NET Since this is for SLASH members only.

I think that once we get the forum back up we could accommodate that.
