As far as I know there is no common name yet for this species as it was just described this year. The holotype specimen is shown below as published in Aqua early this year. Thanks to Dr. Tanaka for providing me this image earlier this year.


This second shot shows three images taken by the Coral Reef Research Foundation in Palau. The shots were taken at nearly 400 feet from a manned submersible. Thanks to Lori of CRRF for the communications regarding these images.


As far as I know these are the only available images of the species so far...

thanks for all the info, i havent been keeping up with reefing for a few months now, its amazing what can be discovered in that short amount of time. Thanks again.
