Okay whats up?

HI everyone.

I got a bta about a month ago i guess and he did look like this:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Now he is about the size of the tip of my pinky finger and has been like this for about 2 weeks i guess. I have a lta that i got at the same time which has gotten huge and very sticky and eating we'll. They are now both in different tanks. The lights for the bta are 600 watts of pc in a 18 inch deep tank. Water is 0 on everything but the nitrates which are 15.
Calcium is 420 and dkh is 11.

Nothing is comming out of the mouth and it is closed and he does eat if he opens up which is rarely. But he is really shrunken and the tentacles are really not even out but what you can see of them they are still really green.

I don't know what to do to help him.

Suggestions?

Lisa

looks like he was bleached to begin with, almost transparent. I would try to get him into perfect water conditions and attempt small feedings of mysis. hopefully its not too late

Its not good practise to keep multiple species of new either, it may well be a bit of a chemical warfare in the tank and the BTA is coming of worst. Give it back to the LFS and stick to one anemone.

Check out Karen's rose anemone webpage. She's got a lot of good info packed in that website.

I don't think the nems are in the same tank, at least that's how I understood her post. Have they always been in seperate tanks?

I second Karen's website, I think her user name is Finding Nemo, but I can't remember her website right now, hopefully someone else does!

Nope they are not in the same tank. And were for about 2 days a month ago. And he was fine untill about 2 weeks ago.I will just try to keep feeding him and see how it goes i guess. Water is pretty good other than nitrates and i just hooked up at Rowaphos reactor tonite to hopefully help with any stray things i have going on.

I just don't understand what happened. It always seemed afraid of the light. Never really came out when the lights were on.

Time will tell i guess.

Hi Lisa, I apologise, I wrongly assumed they were in the same tank.

Hi Handson, what are you feeding your anemones?
The little BTA needs meaty foods like silversides.
When was your last water change?
Also what is the temp of your water and what movement do you have in it. Powerhead wise that is.
