in my experiences with the magdrives it is better to use 1" or above to get the most flow and pressure out of these pumps as others i know in this hobby have had similar success by doing this as well, just my .02

of course using PVC for the plumbing, can use the braided tubing but for pressure the pvc works best IMO.

You can not have output on all outlets when all of them are the same diameter than the main branch.
As a reference the sectional area of the main branch shall equal the sum of the sectional areas of all the outlets.

If you use say 1" main your sectional area becomes (0.5^2*3.1416) = 0.7854 sq inches. If you want eight outlets each outlet area shall not exceed 0.7854/8 = 0.0982 sq inches so the diameter of each outlet shall be equal or less than 0.0982/3.1416 sq root x 2= 0.354 inches or a bit less than 11/32" (aprox 3/8")

If using 3/4" main branch the outlet shall be less or equal than 17/64" (aprox 1/4")

If using 1/2" branch the outlets shall be less or equal than 11/64 (aprox 3/16")

My preference will be to use 11/4" up to the manifod to keep the manufacturer specification for the pump and then reduce at the manifold input to 3/4" using 8 of 1/4 dia outlets
