Broken 10 gal conversion
Okay, so I broke the bottom pane of a 10 gal tank. I still have 4 other good panes.. well, 3 b/c one has a big chunck out of it.
So, I was thinking that I could take these panes and make my own custom sump for my 20 gal. mantis tank. I would take all these panes and get them cut at Lowes or HD to size. I would create a cube that would be a 6x12 to hold the intake and baffles, then make another cube connected to this one with a bulkhead that would be larger for the return. Not sure of the size yet, would have to measure. So what does everyone think? The panes I have left are the two sides, which are 10x12, and the front which is 20x12, and the back with the chunck out of it which could be about a 9x10 or possibly bigger. Any ideas/critiques are appreciated!

The nano sized tank is definately doable but for a mantis I think I would use thicker glass, at least 3/16" or better yet 1/4". I have heard that a mantis can strike the glass with quite a bit of force, I have no direct experience with keeping them though.
