you can chip them off the rocks and sell/trade them.
Or, you can trade the rocks with people who have clean rock

If you just want them gone you could try joe's juice or try injecting them with buffer or calcium additive. Another trick is to take kalk paste and cover them...

I think mushrooms are kind of cool. I would pick up some from you if they were a cool color.

I would be more then willing to trade a mushroom LR for like sized LR.

What is the Kalk paste method. I have been injecting with kalk water with limited success.

When you say heat up the tank how hot? I don't want ot fry everything else. I run around 78F right now.

TIA

I like a few but I let them spread to far. They are starting to smoother my other corals.

kalk paste-just mix a little water with some kalk in a cup and sprinkle the paste over the shrooms with a spoon =) This will nuke anything it touches so be careful not to cause a cloud of kalk in the tank =).

I have felt your pain...

I have done all of the mentioned ways to rid my tank of the mushroom plague. Joe's juice works, too ( I believe it's Kalk based).

Ray sounds good talk to you tonight

glaudds - were you successful in getting rid of them? If so what worked best for you? Your pic and my situation look alot alike.

I'm currently mixing a high concentration of kalk and water and then attempting to inject the mushrooms with a syringe included in one on my test kits. It doesn't seem to work very well so far.

I tried everything and what I wound up doing was pulling the rock out of the tank and chipping the mushrooms off with some rock attached. Try to chisel the surface of the rock so that you have smaller pieces of rock with mushrooms covering them. Then, you can sell or trade those pieces.

I now remove the few mushrooms that occasionally pop up by scraping them off or kalking them depending on the accessibility.
Good luck...
