Lifereef float switch F/S
This device automatically either shuts off your pump(s) or turns on a pump in your makeup water resevoir when your sump level gets too low. (Can't do both at the same time. You must choose one or the other function.) I used this device as a cut off so my pumps would never run dry and/or my aquarium would never overflow.
This is a very hot item and deservedly so- it's very well designed and easy to operate: the float switch goes in the sump and connects to the control box. The pump(s) to be turned on/off are plugged into the control box. Unlike many other brands, the Lifereef control box does all the switching so there's no load on the float switch. The control box measures 6"x6"x3", has a 10 amp rating and is fuse protected. It's (currently) out of stock- Lifereef only makes 50 units per run and I know there's a waiting list. My unit is used but it's in great shape. You'll need to fabricate a bracket to hold the float switch (VERY easy to do) or order one from Lifereef for $15. To sweeten the deal I'll also throw in the Lifereef ground probe and all the Lifereef paperwork I have on the unit. (I bought the unit new.) Everything for $120. First person to get me the cash gets it- I'm not playing the "holding game" anymore. (Shipping is extra. I don't paypal. Check or money order only.) Serious inquiries (only) PM me. Here's a link to the Lifereef site showing more info: http://www.lifereef.com/frame.html
