Unhappy It's over..

My reefing days are over. You guys remember the little chip in my tank? http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...97#post4548297

Anyways...it blew tonight. 135g of water all over the basement floor does NOT go over well with parents. I'm grounded for the next month. Regardless...the livestock must go. Immediately. All rock/sand is free for the picking; as for corals, I will assemble a price list, after I make sure they all live...I'm setting up my spare 40g tubs to hold them. I have digis, caps, acros, zoas, leathers, softies, you name it. When I am a little more right in the head I will compile a list...I just can't believe this happened... At least I was home, right?

Post in this thread, please don't PM me, it'll be much easier to keep track of..thanks.

Tyler

Tyler... let things mellow out for a day...

Put it all in your next tank, and keep that one in the basement... that's what basements are for... how ****ed can they be?

You love this $hit, don't give up so easy.

I'll take anything that's really cheap so I can resell it on ebay and make a mint.

Let me know.

Many moths of effort should be crowded into tubs... not given away for damn near free.... Things can get rough at times... I know... I work full time at a challenging job and take grad classes at night... it eats me up at times.... don't give away the fruits of your labor because you are frustrated.

Throw it all in tubs.... keep the temp right... give it some light.... leave it in the basement and forget about it. In the next two days set those tubs up to survive without much care for a month. Take your AP exams, bang them out, and when you are done you will be happy that you didn't give up.

How about this, once I get divorced (luckily she still puts up with all this reef nonsense) I'll bring the tank and live in your parents basement? Oh, I also have 2 cats, and a dog. ok?

As they say, the only thing better than having a tank, is having a friend with a tank.

Well, we have one cat. I'm not sure how the dog would do. Any chance you could leave him with your wife?

tsquad, I will babysit any of your tank inhabitants that will fit in my 50g, free of charge, for as long as you need me to. If you really think you're going to set up the tank again, let me know and I'll make arrangments to pick things up asap. I also have a 37g, 20g, a 25" AquaFuge, two filters, a stand, and some misc items that I can loan you, free of charge, in the mean time. They aren't fancy in the least bit, but they might help.

Shame on any of you considering taking advantage of his offer. We should pull together and help him.

Cool! We actually just got some eggs at the grocery store tonight...looks like tonight might not be a total failure. The Flyers have a game today, April 1st, I'm pretty pumped.

Is this some sort of not funny April Fools joke? The wording of the quoted sentence made me wonder.

Bah... it must be...

But if you really have a chip that large in your glass (as depicted).... you have some large balls to let it remain there....

Cmon guys, someone pulls one of these EVERY year Granted, I would be POd if someone did this to me. Just a little jest is all. It is very comforting to see the generosity and support of the club...I hope you all know I would do the same for you had this situation been real for you, etc. etc

Ken, the chip really wasn't that big. What you see in that pic is the silicone I resealed it with. It's been running for over a year now like that, no problems at all. It's a very small chip, doesn't really come close to the seal.
