I may have some stuff for trade. I may photo the tank and you may see something you like. I don't have the patience for small frags. I would rather trade a rock for a rock. I have some orange monti and acros. I will be in State College this week. I am very much in the market for a blue hippo, 4" or so if anyone has one in good shape.
BTW, HI EVERYBODY! Snookie is not dead, just busy. Been keeping up with the tank but not a lot of time to play. Hooked up with Zooqi a few months back and we had a nice trip to Miller's Reef.

Interested in the Acros. How big are they? I would rather have larger colonies. Ill be home all week except for tuesday morning till around lunch time. Here are some pics, a little late

Blue Zoos with a red/blue shroom on it:

Green Monit Digi..about 5-6 in tall mounted, I aldo have one a tad but smaller that did not yet attach:

Green leather

And I have many shrooms, kenya trees and xenia in the sump that are growing like mad and most all are attached to rubble, any anything else in the tank that catches your eye.

Let me know if your interested in anything and look foward to a swap.

Thanks---I'll get the camera out once the lights come on later today. I have plenty of Kenya trees. I may try some xenia---in my old tank, it was all I could grow. Now it just seems to be dying off. Maybe trade some sand to start things up a bit?

Some pics

I have a pretty decent camera but I am not impressed with the pics it takes, especially through the glass. It's an Olympus 8080 8 megapixel wide zoom. I might put it up on Fleabay and go with an SLR for more control over my picture taking. The 8080 is an autofocus.
Anyway, here is some stuff.

I think they look nice Snookie. My camera isn't that great either but here are some things I do to make mine decent (some you obviously did):

Always use a tripod, and use the timer on your camera..it makes for 0 movement from pressing the button (since it's timed).

Try to put the lens against the glass..don't use a flash if the camera is more than a few inches from the glass. My camera has a nice "macro" setting too for close up shots.

Always shoot slightly down to get the light from the tank.

I've been thinking about biting the bullet and going for an SLR too. I use my digital camera a lot..my biggest complaint is the resolution and the time it takes to save the shots. If you do decide to buy one, I'd recommend finding a few models you like and going to http://www.pricewatch.com . They update all the time to find the best prices on the net. I bought my last 2 cameras that way along with a dirt cheap 1gig SD card and a few other geek toys.

Snookie...Are you interested in parting with the large acro? What color is it? Id be interested in 1 or both acros. I could really hook you up with some nice stuff for the big one! And when are you making the trip to State College?

Fizz, thanks. I do have a tripod and the camera does have a timer and you are probably correct if you are inferring that there is some "camera shake" involved. I have an old Olympus 4.0 megapixel camera that I use for work and I take 1000's of pictures with it every year. It's been a great camera and I am familiar with the menu and that is why I bought another Olympus. I will make a note of that web site. I am probably going to take a good hard look at the Canon Rebel. They were running around $1000 but the price is coming down. I often compare prices at www.cnet.com or www.dealtime.com any time I am shelling out my life savings for a new gadget.

Snookie..Great little swap we had on Saturday. Had to break up that rock a little and move some things around but all seems well so far. I may have to frag the larger Stag as some of the branched are just to long for where I want to put it. Nuce to meet you and look foward to an updats as to how your new corals are doing.

Yes, it was nice to meet me.
Seriously though, it is always nice to meet a fellow reefer. You certainly have a nice clean setup. Very organized! I spent much of yesterday rearranging my tank and fragging some stuff that needed it.
Here’s a question to the board. As I told you, I think I scared my Naso to death while photographing my tank for this post. I've had the Naso for six weeks or so and he was doing very well but immediately after photographing (WITH THE DANG FLASH), I noticed that he looked pretty bad. He hid while I was taking pictures and shortly thereafter when he came back out, he looked sick. The next morning, he was laying on the bottom and unfortunately, the rest is history. I guess I wasn't thinking when I used the flash and I've used it before but not since this fish has been in the tank. I try to do everything else gradually, as my blue actinics come on an hour or so before the metal halides. Does it sound probable that I literally scared my Naso to death?
