Joe,
I'm thinking that you might want to up the diameter of your feedpipes to the pumps out of your sump, as you have the two 90s and quite a length to run. Don't want to restrict the inputs if you can avoid it.
FWIW, I use 1 1.2 inch diameter on my HD70 closed loop intakes.

I have 1.5 inc on my feed to the sum already ant it tested fine ran like that for three days
my intake for the closed loop is 2in with 1.5 out breaking into 3 1 inc witch go into 1 spray bar and two into split lock lines for 5 returns

Joe, I was looking at the pipes coming from the bulkheads on either end of your sump. Maybe I'm confused in what I'm looking at.
I guess if it ran fine as is, there's no prob

I am sorry I thought you were referring to my drains into the sump.I dont think I have the room to go any larger in there anyway but they seem to work fine

I think you should not have a drain line in the same compartment as one of your return lines back to your tank. If anything I would redirect in between the baffles. There might be too much turbulance from the return lin causing microbubbles. Just my two cents...as long as I am looking at it correctly.

I know you have also plumbed everything up top but I would redirect the PVC to go around the tank rather than diagonal. For two reasons accessability into the tank from the top as well as light dispersion issues with the pvc being in the direct path of your lights. Again...food for thought...constructive criticizm....you asked for suggestions.

that line feeds the protien skimmer so it doesnt feed back into the tank
I agree with you on plumbing around the tank instead on diagonal and will probally chang that at some point

and yes all suggestions are welcome

cool...the picture to me was a little deceiving(sp?). That's kind of how I have mine set up with the protein skimmer.
