i just placed them side by side and let nature take over... little by little the purple cap started wrap itself around the grn digi. eventually, i think the cap will choke out the green digi. the green digi wont be a big loss or anything.

this was the shot from a year ago... the mycedium to the left has begun to wrap around the overflow box and is soon to encroach upon an acro. everybody knows this kinda stuff will eventually happen as a tank matures... just happens faster when you super load your reef with frags the way i did

Not quite. You need a billion more microbubbles and a really ugly efflo. Can't find anything ugly in your tank at all. Better luck next time.

well... i dont have a nice fancy equipment room where all the toys are showcased in a nice, neat fashion. they are spread out b/w the garage and under the stand.

ballast located about 20-some feet away from the display out in the garage

oceansmotions set up... its a 4way ver 2 (i think) two outlets... i have it set up where two outlets shot from the right, mix r & l, then from the left, then mix r & l, and repeat. this is pushed by a sequence 5800... so i am getting about 4500gph back and forth across the tank in a minute rotation. Pretty much like have 9000gph loop flow.

Impressive!! but I don't think it fair to have such a small tv on the left, lol... Unless you replace that with another smaller tank, then it would look much better

this is my little "whatever i feel like making it from time to time" tank

started as a refugium... then doubled as a frag tank... then pod-ville and now kind of a little bit of all 3. This is an older shot. It's lit by a 70w DE bulb w/ reflector made from a lowes halogen spot light. The manifold from the right is coming from the return. Seq4300 feeds the fuge, display, chiller, and c-reactor.

EURO CS83 w/ gate valve mod and i swapped out the sedra5000 for a 9000.... i love this skimmer

the diagonal plumbing are the overflows from the fuge and display (larger diameter from the display)

dual temp controller for heater/chiller... 2ndary single temp controller for lighting (chiller fails, TC shuts down halides)

little mod for bubble control.... done to the skimmer outlet and overflow lines... i use plumbing and make the outlets "U" back up to the water surface just above the water line.... water spills over and air dissipates.

chiller and nu-clear canister (for occasional carbon use)... chiller soon to be upgraded and moved outside since i now have part of my system in the garge with the chiller.... that arrangement is none too efficient
