Hair Algae

I am having hair algae apear in my sand. How can i get rid of it?

A small conch will go after it, but may loose streamers into the system. You'll have to net those out.

hair algae grows because there are nutrients to fuel it.

You can take the following steps:

Manually remove what you can.
Figure out what is causing your nutrient load and correct the situation.
Water Changes
Run a Phosban Reactor
Start a refugium with a macro like cheamatophora that can out-compete the bad stuff.
