Red face New store in the area (kind of) In Living Color

Just caught this thread in the NJRC forum - Marlton NJ is the location, I think that's just about as close as Aquarium center in NJ

Anyone up for a road trip next week?

Here's a thread w/ some discussion from the natives ->

SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD PLACE TO CHECK OUT. ITS FEW MILES NORTH OF A FRIENDS PLACE OVER THERE, SO IT'S ABOUT 50-55 MILES FROM HERE, MOSTLY FREEWAY AND ONE DMB BRIDGE TOLL ON THE WAY BACK. ABOUT AN HOUR DRIVE SINCE ITS MOSTLY 295 FREEWAY.
SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD ROAD TRIP.

Well, looking around for more information of making my own Vortech, I ran into this post - if you didn't want to go before, this will make you want to drive up there this second and make them let you in !!!

http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...hreadid=770042

the wait is killing me

It's either that, or the 4th cup of coffee I had today

Anyone want to do a group tour sometime - I'm betting they'll be pretty receptive

Should be open today - I'd love to go.

I'm picking up a friend in Trenton on Friday, and will be dropping her back off on Sunday, so I'll be passing by then again.

They'll be having a grand-opening (with associated sale) later, but today is the first day the doors are open - as I understand.

There's going to be some pretty cool stuff there from Ice Cap for sure.

If I do go today, it'll be after work (I'd like to get a few people to make it worth it, as it's quite a drive) - around 5pm. If not, I'll catch it on my way back Sunday.

Hmmm question is do I want to wake up early enough...and will I have time to browse around (promised Bill I would help put away his fish shipment tuesday...just not sure if its coming in at 1 or 3) Does anyone know how big this place is in comparison to that fish place in lancaster?

150 salt tanks - 400 Freshwater, to me that says "BIG"

I don't see the dry goods section being larger than TFP, but the livestock selection sounds promising.

If anyone's interested, I have two more spots open in my car for a trip up there tonight after I get out of work - probably around 5pm

"THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION OTHERS MAY FEEL DIFFERENTLY "
Went there this morning they must have gotten stripped yesterday , there wasn't much there , yes they do have ALOT of tanks with coral but selection was the same as any other store
The display tank is beautiful but it was empty of all real nice sps. The tanks are hard to view top too high bottom too low .
I was shocked to see the problems with their fish they had an angel for sale for $1000.00 and it was sitting on the bottom of the tank dead ! ?I think the reason it was still there was because
you cant see the bottom of the top tanks they are almost 7` off the floor . seen a lot of fish with ick , and possible other problems that I cant id .
SerranidTerror
it is on RT 70 you will see a McDonalds, then right after the car dealer "Hyundai" I think. is a small 4-5 shop strip. The sign is very un clear

thanks for the honest opinion crash - that's good to know. I read in other threads that they were cleaned out of their "best" pieces before noon - and had also read about the fish issues elsewhere too - so you're not alone in your observations.

I think I'm going to give them a little time to get settled and work out the kinks, then hopefully they'll have some good discounts when they have their grand opening sale

Not suprising they would get cleaned out. During my attempt to find the place I saw an aquarium maintenace van driving down the road (thats how I knew I was close!). Them guys can sometimes buy quite a bit, I know thats why Billy down at Greenbank doesn't have oodles of fish, cuz some guys come and clean him out before they even get put in his system. And MadMax when were you planning on your field trip btw?
