Unhappy Commercials and Nascar:(

What the heck is going on with all of the darn commercials during nascar?
I noticed they had gotten more numerous last year but this year is horrible.
Missing all of the scrapes, in the wall, touches etc while we sit and watch dumb commercials.
If they continue they will sure loose me as a fan.
Allready my husband has gone to his office to do other things and usually he will sit with me thru the whole race.
Shame shame Nascar.
And something else, what happened to the picture in picture they used to have so that we could watch the race while the commercials ran?
Getting sick of this.

how true . i will say i actually watched the entire race and didnt fall asleep at all. could have been the commercials, or i may have just got a good nights sleep last night LOL i alway watch daytona, the short tracks, and the road races, the others i will watch the last 20 laps or so. and catch the wrecks on the news.

They probably figured that alot of people watch the Daytona 500, which happens to be the Super Bowl or racing. So why not cram in more commercials? Smart if you ask me. BUT...... if they do it again next week, then I will start to get a little upset.

I don't like Tony either. You have to give Gordon props though. Driving back into the top ten without third gear is pretty impressive.

Commercials are needed to wake viewers up. Watching cars make left-hand turns for 3 hours is just so very interesting

I love nascar, watch it for the crashes.
But the beginning of it had commercials ever 10 minutes, and stupid ones to boot.
But I have to say, the Bud commercial with the colt putting his head thru the harness and pulling the bud wagon was just so cute, with the adult horses pushing it from the back.
Now that was worth watching.
Then there was that bimbo Simpson serving pizza, right where she needs to be, in fast food not in the limelight

FOX does a better broadcast than ABC, less commercials, they had the picture in a picture and wish they would bring it back, seems like every time they had a commercial was the only time something happened on the track. Jessica is cute not bimbo.

It was a terrific race, the first one in years I didnt take a nap thru.
But them running each other off the track was uncalled for .
Sure was fun to watch tho, great race

WOW! Good question. Everyone knows that rednecks don't have a lot of patients. Why would you want to alienate your biggest fan group?

Let's see...what was the common denominator in 3 of the crashes?

Tony Stewart, ironically the first to speak out against aggressive driving and how they were going to kill someone.
