H2Ocean Discount

Dear Razorback Reef Members,

After speaking with H2Ocean at length today, I am sorry to announce that they can no longer continue to offer Razorback Reef a 20% discount as we have become accustom to since our inception almost two years ago. Unfortunately, they are unable to offer any form of discount at this time due to there current financial situation. We are still welcome to hold meetings there at any time. H2Oceans notification of discontinuing the discount was not very direct, therefore some of you may have found out at an inopportune time in the last several days, for that they send there apologies. I am certainly saddened by the turn of events but feel that Razorback Reefâ€™s success does not hinge on the support of any one local fish store. The New Year will bring a new website and forum, along with the national MACNA conference close to home Houston. We will announce the first meeting of 2006 shortly and I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

schiller, do you know if Exotic Tropicals in Rogers still offer their discount? I've tried calling them in the last few days, but can't get through for some reason. Planned on making a trip up there in the next week or so, and it would be nice to know. Thanks!

TJ - The owner of Exotic Tropicals is James Tucker and there is not a more enthusiastic LFS owner in the state. He has a fantastic store and you will not be disappointed. Yes - he still offers a discount on none sale items. Be sure that you tell him that you are a member of Razorback Reef when you get there and tell him that Chris says hi. He often discounts more than the standard amount - but don't get upset when you don't see it on your receipt. James is a really nice guy and very knowledgeabe about the animals that he sells. Let us know how your trip goes.

We will be anoucing a new 20% discount to Paradise Pets in Benton in the next couple of days. I was in there today and it is a really nice store - I can't believe that I have not known about it untill now.

oh wow- I'm always a little too late... I spent quite a bit in there a couple of weeks ago- we've known about it for a few years now. They don't have a whole lot, but what we've always gotten has turned out to be "good stuff". Didn't know you guys didn't know about them- I could've turned on you on to them a long time ago. And I've been to Exotic Tropicals- they are a great bunch and an AWESOME store- hands down. Couldn't remember James's name... he is really nice and doesn't hestitate to tell you if something may or may not work in your particular tank w/whatever inhabitants or set up you've got. Glad to know about the 20% from PP in Benton- that's great news. Thanks a bunch!
