i use the ehiem auto matic feeder cause i have anthias and leave my tank for days at a time. Its is a great product if you like to feed spectum pellets. It allows you to feed up to 4 times a day and you can set it for single does or double does. How it works is if you want to feed a single dose in the AM and a double in the noon it has the ablility to do so by spinning twice. Its really something i discovered i needed but never knew i did, lol. My fish are all extremely thick and i know they are alot happier. I use to manually feed the fish daily then in the pm hours when i get home but i could never fatten them up enough. I guess if you miss a few feeding it adds up. I would say if you want more than three fish in your tank a feeder is nice. I have about 6 and all have grown a lot faster since adding the feeder. Maybe its just a fluke but i wouldnt change a thing.

I picked up the Eheim feeder... but now I have to figure out where to puit it! My tank is topeless, and I have nowhere to set it. I thought for sure it would come with some kind of clip or bracket to stabalize it. Any ideas?

Perhaps you could fabricate an Acrylic holder?
