4yr Old 55Gal Rebuild. (PHOTO INTENSE)

Well first off, I started this thread at Dallas's local club forum ( www.dfwmas.com ) to see what they thought and the feed back was good.

All I really wanted to do was to add more sand and clean the rock, but as most of us know that is NEVER enough.

Over the 2 week project I:

*Re-did plumbing with PVC
*Added 10 gallon glass Fuge
*Fixed my ReekTek Ca Reactor
*Finished Canopy
*Added 100lbs Pavestone sand
*Added 10lbs LR
*Added surrounding plants
*Added Blue Background

So Time for the part everyone Loves---- PICS!

This was the area shortly after I added the refugium

The scaping shortly after being set up

3 1/2 - 4yrs later, The bare glass was the start of the project. Everything just got so sloppy over time. It NEEDED to be changed.

The last of the rock before scooping out most of the old sand.

New sand is in. This is 100lbs (give or take) of the recently debated Pavestone. So far I love this stuff!

A rough Idea of aquascaping.

As the water clears.

The area after plants were added, ITS COMING ALONG!

My ghetto wood shop. Notice the coolers and amp and jig saw for my supplies!

The canopy finished, with more plants. I just took the Ca reactor out in this pic

The ReefTek for maintenance.

Mag 2 Melted. HMMM lol

ReefTek tucked safely away in the stand with the new MAG3.

The rock collapsed a few nights ago and i redid the upper aquascaping adding 10lbs more rock.

So thats basically a timeline over 2-3 weeks. I hope yall enjoy! Feel free to ask any questions or leave suggestions!

I think I still need to:

*Add more rock for center, it droops a little
*Start a Phyto culture
*ADD CORALS!

To bad im broke now . Living off of a 17 year old's salary is not easy at all when it comes to reefing!

Thanks for viewing

Thanks guys! It took a while to get it all figured out. It collapsed because a MJ1200 dismounted and blew all the sand out from under it. I wish i would have used PVC structure
