My Pink Skunk has a Nemo fin...
I have this Pink skunk clown and he has been good since I put him in the tank 2 weeks ago. But all of a sudden his left fin is kinda scrappy, and he is not using it much. Does anyone have a good idea what this is, and the best way to treat it... He is in a very small tank, so I dont know if treating the tank is the best idea?
Here is a few pics, |

Well he is eating really well... Have you ever seen Finding Nemo??? Nemo is the little clown with one bum fin.
Anyway, I thought it was a funny topic name! |

It could be that he was stung by your anemone. The condy anemone you have in there with him is not a normal clownfish hosting anemone. Although some of the tougher clowns (tomato and clarki) will use them as hosts, they have been rumored to have the ability to eat other clowns.

REALLY??? Thats not good... I have seen him start brushing it the past few days. So do you think he will be ok if I remove the anemone?
Does it look like an injury and not a disease??? |

It's hard to tell from your pic. I know from other fish being stung, that anemone stings will leave white marks and ragged fins, sometimes with white filaments trailing behind.
If there is red swelling at the base of the fin, then I would suspect an infection and not an anemone sting.

There is no red and he looks fine otherwise. So I am hoping it is just a sting.
What types of anemonies would youthink would do well with this tiny pink skunk? |

If he was like that since you first got him/her it got in a fight. I know this due to experience I kept two Condylactis anemone and went through apprx. 10-11 clownfish not knowing why the damn fish were dying untill I posted here on RC. Get rid of it. Sam

So, he was doing great since I removed the condy. I then added a rose BTA. He has been doing great. He is already cuddling it. But I just noticed two tiny dots on his rear dorsal fin and one tiny dot on his tail fin...
Gosh I hoe it isnt ich... He is eating really well and looks happy... But he does this thing where he jets around really fast and then shoots into the anemone. Could these marks just be from him getting used to his now home? |

There is a clown/anenome chart on reefs.org or Marine Depot Live
