Finally got around to looking at this thread -- I like the distributed computing model.

How do I get out of the one I am assigned? The estimate was for it to finish in August 2010. There are 3000 frames and I have a 2.0 GHZ machine. Suggestions?

I am not accepting >5MB. Did I miss a setting?

Otherwise it has been fun and I'll go back to shutting my computer down when I am done with it..

Does it STILL say August 2010? Sometimes it does a bad job at predicting the time to complete -- I've seen it say it would take over 100 days on my computer, but I've never had one last longer than a week.

If you think there's something wrong with your work unit for some reason, close the folding program and then find the folder the folding program. Mine is in C:\Program Files\Folding@Home. In there is a "Work" folder. Delete everything in the work folder, and then restart Folding if you want. The program will download a new work unit.

If you're working on something with 3000 frames, I'd think each frame would go pretty fast. Is it reporting the protien name? Something like p1150_RIBO_semihelixfro or something like that.

Now that it ran for a while the prediction isn't as grim as it first looked. A couple of hours ago I only needed 63 days (better than 1075 days). Now I am down to just a couple of days. Thanks for the tip. At this point I will let it chug away.

I'm still in the game.

Anyone have any influence on this page?
http://fah.net-router.com/cgi-bin/fa...dycook&hour=18

The scale isn't big enough on the personal stats to put my rank in the team in the boundaries of the actual graph. Kind of sad.

Yep - I would be the one that has "influence" over that page. When it was written, we had under 20 members.... I've changed it to scale up to 40 - so, you're not under the graph now.

Thanks for adjusting the scale...being off the chart wasn't so bad until you consider which direction.

And you're slowly gaining on me!

But Discocarp and biodegraded look like they're gonna bump both of us in a matter of time.

Jeesh...I was as high as #7 on the team but I'm slipping now, down to #11. I'm chewing on another 600 pointer right now.

Is there a way to check stats by machine ID? I've got a Linux box running under my same user ID and I'd like to be able to look at it's stats without going to that machine to pull it up.

Team Milestones

We've folded 1200 work units for a bit over 150,000 points, and will be in the top 1000 teams in a couple of weeks!

I'll be slipping behind until after new year - my work computer is turned off per request of IT during our plant shutdown. Oz and Disco will be passing me in any event - they apparently have higher power rigs. But it's all good and we're rocketing into sub-1000 team placement! Fold on, All.

I'm on the graph for sure! 28th place and 11 WU!

I'm trying to get work to OK using the machines. There are hundreds of PCs just sitting there. Of course they'd setup a rival team.

They throw us out for the days between xmas and new year but we have to decide what mix n' match of vacation, personal holidays and unpaid leave we use during that time. When I go back I may look into having a lab computer running F@H in addition to my personal workstation.

That's still cool. If you do it, let us know the team name.
