Where do you keep your tank?

Where and Why..... I'm going back and forth with my fiancee' about keeping in the foyer of the house while she wants it in a spare bedroom.

Spare bedroom with a footon. Its a nice getaway when you just want to lay down and look at your tank. I would go with the spare room if you can get a hidaway or a footon. Put a nice little stereo in there and you can medatate. Plus my guests love it. Even I dont get to wake up in the morning with my fish.

It actually already has a full sized bed and furniture The only thing about keeping it in the foyer I like is it is tile and has an extra outlet. Hmmm, thanks for the responces...keep them coming.

i have it as a room devide between my kitchen and my dining room. i can fill both sides (eventiually) and it is easier to clean excess detritus. i have had a few issues trying to hide the equip but i worked it out.

Our 125 and 20 are in the living room where we watch TV. Our 55 is in our other living room right when you walk in the front door. I like to keep them where we spend a lot of time.

living room just as you walk in. I keep there due to size of tank and space. I enjoy the quite time I have in there to watch the tank.

My 29 Gal is in my home office and my 55 is in the living room. I like to have the tanks where I am most often.

I am religated to the basement. Wife says nothing on the living floors.

But that is ok. Because I have about half the basement filled with tanks and stuff. Think she was a little annoyed when I brought the 100G tub in as a frag growout.

Mine is in the living room so I can see it all the time. Its away from windows and air/heat vents and close to a bathroom where I can run the RO to the tank. I was going to put it in the guest room but my guest would be woken early with the lights and fans turning on. Maybe you can persuade the little lady to let you install it in the wall especially if your foyer and spare bedroom share a common wall.

We live in a highrise - if we had a house, I'd happily fill the basement with tanks.
There's a 65g planted in our living room 'book nook' (who needs another bookshelf anyway?). The 30g reef tank and 10g FW planted tank are in the bedroom, and my little 1g planted pico cube is on my computer desk. Basically... there are fish everywhere in our house

With physical limitations aside, I like to have the tank in a common area with moderate traffic. Right now my 90 is in the front room of the house, so you can see it right when you come in teh door. If I upgrade from the 90 I'll have to put it in the finished basement due to size. The basement is currently unfinished so an upgrade is out of the question.

Both my tanks are in MY room in the basement. Nano sets to the immediate left of my computer desk. My 150 is directly behind me while seated at my computer. All I have to do to see them is look left or swivel my chair around. Being in the basement works out great, I do as I please, when I please. Or until my wife tells me differently

I've got my 65g in my room right next to the computer, tv, and my bed. Perfect spot for all time viewing. My mom let me set up a 10g nano in the livingroom/kitchen hallway.

I have a 65g hex in my entrance, I have a 50g FOWLR in my kitchen/family room, and I have a 135g in my dining room adjacent to my living room (one big room) so I can the last 2 easily, not so easy to go into the entrance to view the reef but.... ! Need to be seen to be enjoyed! NOT in a spare room that you can't just glance at. Just my opinion....good luck with your placement...and let us all know!

Our 38gal is in the living room by our desktop comp, and the chase louge.

the nano is on our bar. I am thinking about making a tank as long as the bar to sperate the kitchen/bar area.
