fish

I just started my tank. I have a yellow chromis, humbug damsel, blue velvet damsel and a puffer fish of some kind. my tank is 30 g. what other fish can I get with the fish I have now?

Any more info on the tank you can provide will be helpful. How long has it been set up. How are the parameters. What kind of filtration, etc....

it has been set up for about a month now, an emperor filter system? I am very new at this so need some help

You might want to check on what kind of puffer you have, most of them need larger tanks than a 30.

its only about an inch long, he is white with black dots and stripes and has yellow fins

it has more of a pointed "snout" not rounded like most

Take a look there, and if that's your fish, it looks like you're pretty much maxed out on fish, and you won't be able to keep any inverts in the tank at all.

Your diligence in research astounds me...... Since some species of Pufferfish grow to about the same size as your tank you're all prepared to upgrade to that 1000 gallon, right?

Guy's..... You have to at least have some idea of what it is you are buying before you buy it.... and don't take the word of that "expert" at the LFS - because they are usually far from being experts and will give horrendous advice, usually only to make a sale. Surf the net, come here, buy books, whatever.... At least make an effort to know what you will be caring for.....

^^ My thoughts exactly...I think even a 30 is too small for that fish...

the fish(pufferfish) was givin to me by aunt with the fish tank. I forgot to ask her what it was and I bought the ret of the fish by myself
