BVI trip

I am going to St. Thomas in March. Does anyone have a dive operations that they suggest. I am a certified diver and would most likely do a dive boat, but may also take some rental equipment, if I can, and shore dive or go on a bare bone boat trip.
Also, has anyone done a barebone boat before? Is it easy to dock different places, can you fish without major expense, is gas easy to find? Any info is appreciated

Thanks
Kevin

All of my experience in that area is from the BVI, but I would recommmend you sheck out scubaboard to get advice on individual operators in St Thomas. Many go out to the wreck of the RMS Rhone, which I recommend. Another option is to go to the BVI via ferry and do some diving there. As for Barebone, I imagine you are refering to bareboating (i.e no crew for hire on board). As you are talking about gas I imagine you are talking about renting a powerboat. There are lots of options, and some of it depends on whether you are talking one day or many and your experience level. Many of the anchorages have mooring balls for you to attach to. There are several places to get gas and water. Fishing is relatively easy if you bring gear. If you don't, you will need to find a tackle shop in town (can't help you there). I would suggest looking up boat rental compaines now to find out what is posible for you.
