Trap door?

There is something the size of this smilie > on my live rock. It looks like a clam shell and shuts real fast like a trap door when disturbed. What can it be? Is it good or bad?

Can you get any pics? Sounds like it could be a small mussel or something of that nature.

Might just be a small clam or mussel...I have a few here and there that come with frags

I too have a few of these. Came in on my LR many years ago.. Mostly just some type of mussel. If you does pyto, ect they may live. I have not checked on the ones I have in a long time. They WERE under the ledges of my LR whcih have since been encrusted with coral.
