Hi amorpnai

The anemone was about 2' in diameter but it has split since then and the half that I kept is now almost as big as the parent, if parent is the right word?

I posted details of it here

cheers

Pavlo- Great thread on the splitting. On the other side of your tank, are athose all sps? What kind of lighting and flow do you have? I would love to set up my new tank like that. The only problem is that my tank is 1/2 the size of yours. Do you have ant regrets with an SPS/anemone tank? Would you set it up differently if you do it again?
Thanks

I do have quite a few sps in the tank but I have been lucky, the anemone has barely moved for 2.5 years. If it did decide to go walkabout then I would have a few regrets. On the few occasions that it has got close to lps and sps, it has killed them very quickly. Softies dont like contact with it but they manage to survive prolonged contact.

I wouldnt set it up differently but I wouldnt advise anyone to do the same, it is a risk and I wouldnt want to think that I was responsible for someone else trying and having major losses.

All my sps have been grown from frags and I feel that if I were to lose any it is not as bad as losing wild caught corals.

hth

Paul
