Bad Day with my NanoCube...
The freaking hose from the mj1200 return can off and pumped about 5 gallons of water on to my floor while I was at work...Went to grab the cord to unplug the freakin thing it shocked the living crap out of my when I steped bare foot onto the wet carpet...I had to turn off the breaker to get close to the dumb thing...The water messed up my lights some how and the fans stopped working Im about 2" inches away from trashing this thing...

Wow.... I have never heard of this or thought of this. Mine has been fine. I actaully got another pump and antoher tube and added a second pump for some surface flow. I hope everything turns out all right. Good luck, and sorry to hear about the bad experience.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Blame the cube and not the hobby. Get yourself an AGA or acrylic aquarium and try again. I'm mystified by the popularity of the cubes when I hear about all the problems and extra headaches they bring with them.

Yeah, I run a 12g and I had that happen actually. I ended up going and getting a DX hood so it wouldn't happen again.
You may want to try zip ties on the pump and tubing to keep it locked on there. www.nanoreefs.com is a good forum you could check out, there's a section just for JBJ nano cubes, you'll find a lot more specialized help. |
