IF I GO IN SUMP I MIT BE LIMITED TO HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS.
I'M NOT SAYING PRICE IS NO OPTION BUT I DON'T WANT TO MAKE A MISTAKE AND PURCHASE THE WRONG UNIT.
THANKS FOR ANY INFO

oh yeah thesaent14, that made sense.

For a skimmer I highly recommend the ASM (All Seas Marine) skimmer.

I have one and I love it. I think for a 240 you can get a G3 which is rated for 240 gallons but I would recommend a G4 as I got a G3 for my 100.

My ASM grosses me out when I have to dump the cup and use it as a form of torture/punishment for my teenages when I'm mad at them.

"You, you are busted. Go clean the skimmer"

The Euro-Reefs also get good reviews, although they're about 20% more than the ASM skimmers. Same basic design, I've been told.

You could also look at the Deltecs, which get great reviews, but are expensive.

I have EuroReef and can say they are awesome - solid construction, impecable reputation, and very effective. I got mine from MarineDepot.com.

ASM and Deltec are other great skimmers. You'll have to check around to make sure the height works out. Many skimmers for a tank that size will get fairly tall.

BTW, welcome to RC!

Your resticted on height, you can go with this Euroreef. I love my Euroreef skimmer, it is just awsome at skimmate removal.

Here is a skimmer you can build for 10 bucks, and it will out skim anything you will buy on a large tank like yours. It was originally designed for 1000 GPH flow or more. It is very low profile, and uses no pump, which lowers your tank temp by 2 degrees.
