powder blue is ok in reef tank ? Id like to get one can you tell me a little about them?

Sure. They're reef safe. They love to swim so a tank that is longer length wise is better suited then one that offers a greater width. Powder's are said to be prone to ich and stress but IME I have not ran in to any difficulty. They usually are the dominant fish in the tank. The fish is best suited for an established tank that has been running for some time.

Food requirements: They eat just about everything... but it is important to supplement their diet with seaweed (nori).

My powder is great citizen in my tank. Doesn't bother anyone.

Eggcrate on the back to prevent the hawk or any fish from jumping out.

dsb1829 thanks, there's a link under my sig. that gives all the details about my tank.

Norm, did I promise you a piece? I think I can rip out a nice chunk since it's growing on the sandbed.


I have tried to place some rocks on top of the colony in hopes that it will deter it a bit. Once I have time - I gunna try to frag out the majority of it.
