Identify these clowns?
Ok...we had two clownfish and one died , so we went to the LFS to get a new one and we "thought" we were getting the same kind but apparantly the new one is different. The darker colored one we have had for about 2 weeks and the lighter colored one we purchased today. The one we have had for 2 weeks is doing alot of the shaking thing to the new guy...is this a sign of submission or agression? The new guy did a little shaking but has seemed to stop. Will these 2 clowns get along and hopefully become a pair or should we return the new one? Can you guys identify the 2 for me?? Thanks in advance.

Also know as the false percula clownfish, yes that is a submissive behavior.

How can you guys tell the difference between true percs and ocellaris??

mostly by the eyes, also by the absence of black coloring between the white bars.

yep, few subtle diffrences, the amount of black on the body is easiest. But really young percs can look like ocellaris. So eyes and fins can be used.
