Tel me if I am right

This looks like red streaks or blotches. I can help him out with good water quality and good food right.

Do you have him in a hostpital tank? Leave him in their for 3-5 weeks. Just feed him some sheet algea. ( not the cheap brand ) Also i see the tank floor is dirty. Keep the tank clean but dont stress the tang out.

Yes on the hospital tank. Your right the bottom might be a little cruddy. I'll make it a point to clean the bottom better during my daily water changes.

Your fish has what appears to be the onset of HLLE.

Possible causes for lateral line erosion:
Stray voltage
Activated carbon (either removing something the fish need or the dust clogging the pores on the fish)
Vitamin deficiency (A and/or C)
Poor water quality (including high levels of dissolved organics and/or nitrate)
Retrovirus
Hexamita
Amyloodinium-like dinoflagallate
Chronic stress

Check for the above, but at least feed your fish nutritious herbivore foods with a good vitamin.

He seams to be doing alot better now. So I decided to transfer him to my 30g clown tank that has a bit of LR and crushed coral and macro algea growing. He started grazing right away and still eats like a pig. He still has the red bloch on his head but it is not as bad as it was, you really have to get up close to see it. Anyways, I ame shure he loves the extra room and rock work, he swimms in and out all day long. Plus it will be alot less work for me to maintain water quality in there since it is and established tank. I can't wait to put him in my 120g tho.
