Yea, you guys sure are good at hijacking threads. But keep going, im sure youll just totally waste all of the psace meant for pictures of aquascaping. There is a time and a place for talking about filtration as well...but nto quite on a tank-picture thread. And yer eel is mad ugly, since theis thread is already hijacked to hell

Here's a couple better pic's of the eel's head. I've looked over the pages at "wetwebmedia" and really have only seen the pic of the Echidna rhodochilus and Gymnothorax sp? that come close IMO

As far as the size of them, their in a 6' tank, so I'd say the sharptail is around 16"

Yeah after seeing the new pics I would tend to agree with your original findings.

Nice to see one of these eels alive and eating. Usually they starve to death.

Hey thanks for the compliments.
THe angel fish is refered to as an Indian Yellowtail.
I have also seen them referred to as a Buttercup angel.
He is part of the larger pomocanthus angels, but does not get as big as the others rom this group, maxing out at around 6-7 inches in captivity.

Here is a close up pic of him:

250 gallon tank: horn shark in foreground with purple tang. Things are a bit "grimy" in the tank: I haven't really done any cleaning for a few months. Water quality is great thou. Unfortunitly our local water has phosphates in it and, thus, the hair algae is kinda a pain. Need to invest in an RO unit, but would rather spend the money on fishing gear!

I've had the horn shark pictured in the foreground for 2 years. I thought he (yes it is a he) would get larger. His length has really slowed down once he reached about 18 inches. Being that sharks don't really have terminal growth, I am sure he will still get much larger. They are both very slow growers, the female horn really has mirrored the males growth pattern. It will be interesting to see when they reach sexual maturity. The bamboo shark on the other hand went bonkers right from the start. I have had her two years + and she is over 2 feet (28 inches). Thankfully, she has finally slowed down.
