Esotsm1,

Where are you located? are you affiliated with any of the socal clubs? This was a local only group buy and I am not sure if the organizer wants to extent the group buy to people he does not know.

Not to be a pessimist but this ain't gonna happen. If I don't get a call from Tom by Thursday confirming the purchase amount, I'm calling Tom on Friday and cancelling.

Ted,

Relax! It's gonna happen. Just need to get everything squared away. Too many of us involved for it not to!

Hi, I just spoke with the store that's ordering them for us, and the reflectors have arrived by quite a few have not paid for the reflectors yet and they're not releasing the reflectors until all payments are in.

Ken
According to Ken, the reflectors have been in since at least 12/22.

Ted,

It is not to late, I just called with my CC and he is short 8 for the order. You should shot Carlos an email to ask about the coverage, he is using them on his tanks. I would say four is minimum since all the research I did here tells me it covers a 24"x24" pretty well.

Everyone else that wanted one:
Please call them with your CC info so we can get this order going. PM me if you didn't get Dat's PM on how to make the payment.
According to Pierce, they still needed payment on 8 more units on 12/27. I gave them my CC on 12/28. That should mean we are waiting on payment on 4 more. Except that according to BPOC, on 1/3 they wanted payment on 8 more reflectors.

The math doesn't add up. Either someone dropped out or ???.

We need some straight answers. And if the units have arrived, then the final price should be known because they can add in the freight.

Ted

no, no, no. I was thinking of playing with a 400 on a separate setup. But I wasn't part of the original buyin, and kinda flaked after asking about it. I am NOT ditching my DEs.

Ok just checkin' Wonder how the spread of these compare to the spread from an ROIII (same wattage)? A tank I'm planning will be 30-36" wide. Don't know that my 250DEs' will spread that far. Thinking maybe a mix of the two.

The luminarc spreads better. But it's marginal in actual numbers, but visually looks wider. Check Joshi's data.

Hoooookay. I just spoke to Tom, the guy at the store. Turns out that the whole order has been cancelled! First time I called he said that the reflectors were in, but now he's saying they're not and that the order got cancelled because with everybody using credit cards to pay for it, he's not making money off the whole deal due to credit card company fees. SO.... I guess the whole thing isn't going through.

Group Buy

Ok...

If the original deal fell thru, I will do a group buy if 20 or more reflectors are taken (min 20 pcs to get the best price).

I will most likely pick up the reflectors at the manufacture to save on frieght since I am in the Bay area once a month or so.

Whoever is interested, PM me.

I offered him 5% add-on fee to cover the CC expense and he still didn't want a CC from me for payment. 5% is more than double what it costs me to take those payments.

If not out of country, how about shipping to a nearby state?
