New Trio

I picked these up from Rod Buehler last night. The baby onyx immediately fell in love with the Rbta even before I got them all home.

Awesome pic, and beautiful specimens. Did you purchase the rose from Rod as well?

Thanks, Chris

Thanks,

I bought the anemone from Rod as well. They are at my school tank (i'm an art teacher) and the kids are going crazy over them. Plenty of quotes from "Finding Nemo" unfortunatly. No offence Ray.

The anemone is a Rose from Tonga from before the collection of roses from Vietnam. They were a little more pink/rose (and a lot more expensive) compared to the orangeish hues that are coming from vietnam. Just an FYI for people wondering about the color.

I was reading from the Anemone and Clownfish FAQ yesterday to my 5th graders. It was so funny to see thier expressions when I talked about their gender, and soforth. I wonder who will dominate. It is pretty fun watching them spin around fighting like puppy dogs. Rod, did you say these guys are about 5 months?

Im glad that the students are getting some enjoyment from your trio.
That group is probably a little closer to 6 months.

Rod you don't by any chance have any more of those roses do you? I've never seen any like them.

Sorry, I do not. Not ATM anyway. One here, but its promised to another person. I have been toying with the idea of shutting down the power again. My original has only split twice and both times were due to extensive powere outages ( 8 hrs).

Three weeks have gone by and here are some new pics. One's third strip has completed and has grown double the size of the other. The little one is doing well, but not allowed near the anemone but stays with in a few inches from them. That only took about a week to establish.

That RBTA is really awesome, the orangeish hued ones are ugly in my not so humble opinion. Where can I find one of an actual -rose- color? Like these? I'll stand in line if you have a waiting list Rod.

They will reach full color around 12-14 months.. I believe they are true black onyx and if they aren't anyways they are some of the best looking clowns I have seen, especially tank bred. Great job Rod absolutley beautiful.. If you have a little electricity problem I will take the extra off your hands anytime...

Peace, Jeff and Keep up the great breeding....

My smallest clown was found dead a few days ago on the floor. I wish I had some idea why, how, when he jumped. These guys are in my classroom at the school where I work. Perhaps he was spooked by some janitorial crew at night. And he wasn't allowed near the anemone so he was probably sleeping near the surface. I wish I had a video camera taping the accident.

I'm going to transfer my whole tank into a 40 gallon breeder soon, and replace the clown. I'll be sure to cover the tank with egg crate just incase. The larger clown is looking very beautiful. I'll get some new pics soon.

OMG that totally sucks... I am sure Rod will hook you up with another beautiful clown. Sorry to hear of the loss.
